TURNING AROUND THE “SPYGLASS” OF LITERARY
THEORY: VIRGIL NEMOIANU
(Abstract)

The study argues that concepts such as the secondary and the ethos of imperfection (Virgil Nemoianu) have an interpretative relevance for the so-called “Literary Turn” in the field of humanities. The literary hermeneutics is revalued through its ethical and even “ecological” role within the humanities, as it activates a centripetal force and a specific divergent power to be found in the literariness and in the sphere of aesthetic values in general. The secundary impulses of literary textuality become a necessary counterpart to the false myths of contemporary multiculturalism, as well as an “anti-modern” (Antoine Compagnon) reaction towards any ideological hegemony that tends to subdue the “liveness” of literature.

Cuvinte-cheie: secundarul, cotitura/mutaţia literară, etosul imperfecţiunii, antimodern, Virgil Nemoianu.
Keywords: the secondary, the Literary Turn, the ethos of imperfection, anti-modern, Virgil Nemoianu.
